Welcome to the Somerset County Police Academy

The staff of the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office, The Somerset County Sheriff's Office, The Somerset County Association of Chiefs of Police and the Somerset County Police  Academy would like to welcome you to our website. It is exciting to have this opportunity to offer information on our mission which is to serve the Law Enforcement Community with the latest and most innovative Continuing Education training programs.

     Registration for these classes is easy and can be accomplished through this web page. We believe that this website will enhance our working relationship with not only law enforcement agencies within the State, but also with the communities we serve.

The website will also provide valuable information about our community programs. The Somerset County Police Academy provides training to various organizations, schools and community groups.  Some of the types of training that we provide include Personal Safety (for all ages), Leadership and Staff Development, and Active Shooter Response for Citizens.

     The Academy also operates a "Police Youth Week" during the summer. (Open to Somerset County residents only). As part of this program, high school students receive an interactive one-week training program modeled after the Academy’s Basic Police Recruit Training Program; known as “The Challenge Program”.

     Registration for these classes, as well as scheduling a Community Event for your group is easy and available through this web page.
